Error ‘Windows – No Disk’ (0xc0000013) when running TomTom HOME 2.x on Windows Vista.

The error message ‘Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 …’ while running TomTom HOME 2.x on Windows Vista can have different causes. See below a list of reasons and how to solve them.

  • A conflict with AVG virus scanner
To resolve this issue, uninstall AVG virus scanner and then reinstall the latest version ( www.grisoft.com ).
  • A driver conflict on some HP computers
To resolve this issue, update your version of Windows Vista with the latest drivers ( www.hp.com ).
  • A problem with Vista drive letter assignments
The drive letter may already be in use or Windows may have failed to assign a drive letter. To resolve this issue, use Disk Management to assign a different drive letter to your TomTom device.
    1. On your computer, click Start and then type diskmgmt.msc in the search field.
    2. Select diskmgmt from the programs.
Disk Management lists the available drives (volumes). Your TomTom device is listed as a removable disk. If more removable disks are listed, compare the capacity (e.g. approx. 1.91 GB for a GO 720) and file system (FAQ 32).
    3. Right-click the removable disk and select Change Drive Letter and Paths.
    4. If a drive letter is assigned, click Change. If no drive letter is assigned, add one.
Important: Avoid using letters A to D! We suggest that you choose T.

TomTom HOME should automatically detect the new drive letter.
